You're invited to participate in a one-day workshop, focused on one goal: finding the right publications for your poetry, so you can get it published and in front of the right readers.
You want to see your poetry published, but there are so many literary magazines and journals — how do you choose? The sheer number of publications can feel overwhelming, especially when each one has different aesthetics, submission guidelines, and editorial visions.
This workshop is designed to cut through that overwhelm and give participants a clear, practical framework for finding the right homes for their work.
In this interactive virtual session, literary advocate and poet Trish Hopkinson walks participants through her proven methods for whittling down the wide variety of publications — from setting personal publication priorities to using free and subscription-based tools like Chill Subs, Duotrope, and Authors Publish. Participants won't just learn about the process — they'll practice it in real time using hands-on exercises and leave with a personalized submission action plan.
Your instructor, Trish Hopkinson, has spent many years writing about publishing opportunities and interviewing editors and publishers. She's also been widely published in many literary journals, in addition to winning many awards and nominations for her poetry.
Please, keep in mind this is exclusively designed for poets interested in publishing poetry. While it may be helpful for other writers, it is specifically tailored to meet the needs of poets.
For those interested in participating, you're encouraged to enroll right away, so you don't miss out on the early bird tuition.
